Hi, I’m Leah Virsik. I enjoy the process of making things… from painting to bookbinding to building creative community… it all feels very connected. I’m attracted to bright colors, shiny objects and smooth waxy surfaces that hold many layers of depth underneath.

In my day job, I work as a graphic artist where I’m at times grateful for the structure. At home, in my messy studio, I paint, rip paper and try to make sense of what’s inside my head. My husband, Tom gave me the gift of thinking of my process of creating as a circle, and by completing it, I complete a cycle. I’m very lucky to be with this incredible man who helped me take my first steps into exhibiting and continues to help me get my art out into the world.
