I had a busy day doing art-related things like dropping off my artwork for Alameda Women Artists’ exhibit and auction next week, Saturday, November 13. I photographed a fair amount of new work and uploaded it to Flickr. I had a fun time at Pro Arts Box Art Benefit Auction. I enjoyed talking with Jamie Treacy, Andreina Davila, Jon Kwak, Claire Tompkins, Lisa Kokin and Lia Roozendaal.

I received my photos from Lia Roozendaal of Jagwire Design. I really enjoyed working with her and highly recommend her work.

Last night’s opening reception for Artists Engaged was a blast. The work is really impressive. I feel honored to be a part of this group. I have my own little room at the Adobe Gallery in Castro Valley. Pretty special.

More Sketchbook Project tomorrow.

  1. Hi Leah! What a beautiful website you have…it feels very serene here 🙂 I love all the collaged pages you have done…do you have to get up REALLY early to do it?! Good on you for being that disciplined 🙂 I bought the “artist’s way” book recently but haven’t managed to make that time yet for the morning pages…..I use my 2 year old as an excuse! But it’ll not wash forever!
Nice to meet you! and thankyou for your lovely comments on my blog 🙂

    1. Hi Jenny, thank you. I’m up no earlier than 6 a.m. sometimes later and I need to get out the door ideally by 7:40 a.m. So, my collages are fairly quick. I’m definitely not always this disciplined and I let other things go. I loved the Artist’s Way… I haven’t done Morning pages in so long. Those three pages of writing took me 45 minutes. I try to do what I can, try not to compare myself to others and be grateful. I really admire when people put themselves first and make what they want a priority rather than saying they don’t have enough time. How wonderful that you have a two-year old! Best of luck on balancing everything!
