The Sketchbook Project and Art Every Day Month Challenge

Love this: Misprinted Type reintroduced to me via an interview of Dorothy Simpson Krause from Alison Lee of Craftcast.

Today’s the first weekday in eleven days that I didn’t do my sketchbook collage in the morning. I also got a speeding ticket driving to work. No correlation really I’m sure, well maybe? Hmmm… I’ll be up early tomorrow. 🙂

The right hand side of this spread is from an Alameda Women Artists postcard promoting our show opening this Saturday in Alameda. Click here for more details. The resulting image reminds me of a periodic table. The circle images on the left is graphite over sequin waste. I’m looking forward to taking Macy Chadwick’s class on Pochoir: Editioning with Stencils tonight at SFCB.

  1. What a great idea to combine the Art Every Day Month Challenge with the Sketchbook Project! I have received my Sketchbook but haven’t devled into it yet. Dare I try to do this in December? I’ll be traveling to my sister’s for a few days just after Christmas so that may interfere, but maybe I can take some things with me…hmmmm…..pondering. And I’m sure that speeding ticket and your morning art practice were TOTALLY unrelated. Really, totally. Really…. 🙂 Hope you are well!
