The Sketchbook Project and Art Every Day Month Challenge

This project is really interesting, the daily collaging. I notice mostly how tired I am or am not in the morning but feel good about making this a habit for five days now. I look at this as my process and it feels unimportant as to what the final project ends up looking like. At least in the moment. There’s a bigger picture and I’m not seeing the whole side of it yet and it’s not up to me to judge it. I don’t have enough information or really ever will. That’s from a story actually but I like the idea of it.

Looking forward to Artists Engaged group show in Castro Valley tonight!

I got a nifty new keyboard after my unfortunate coffee spill.

  1. Wow! Metaphorical on so many levels. Invites you in to stay, oddly enough. Something about the everyday receipts…I wish I could put into words what I am trying to say – almost like a time capsule.

  2. I am totally new to this whole art thing let alone art a day for a month (which is how I found you) and I have to say blog hopping to the different people who have joined is great. Though I’ve enjoyed the last couple days (I joined in a couple days late) I haven’t found anything that inspired me but is that heaps of receipts? LOVE IT! I got a totally ugly book from a friend not too long ago and I’ve been trying to think of what to do to the cover of it so I’m not hating the ugliness of it, I think I’m going to have to start with collaging receipts to it and go from there. Thanks for the awesome inspiration!
